This position is under the daily supervision of the Community CEO. The Wellness Director monitors compliance, risk management and other factors directly related to this department. The responsibilities of the position are staff scheduling, hiring, terminations, orientation & training, disciplinary action, supervising medication management, management of the resident care staff, physician rounds, processing of orders to include physicians’ orders, lab, diagnostic and medication orders, pharmacy exchange & routine med cart audits. Conduct weekly case conference with our 3rd party home health provider. This position is also responsible for resident assessments, service plans, incident reporting and maintaining resident files working within the electronic health records software. Interfacing with families and responsible parties of the residents, addressing complaints, concerns and holding family meetings. All directors and managers will report to Community CEO when any inspector or official agency arrives at the property.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma preferred
- Current hands-on CPR Certification.
- Must have a clear background screening.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
